so i've noticed a disturbing trend in what i'm watching on tv as of late. yes indeed. i've always been a fan of the trashy, cheesy dating shows that highlight all that is wrong with the youth of today, with an occasional glimpse into all that is wrong with those that raised us. guilty as charged. i'm a fan of comedy central too. the daily show is hysterical. and reno 911 is a secret pleasure of mine. but it gets worse... i actually watched mtv the other day. and. i. liked. it.

god, i know. the shame, the horror. i could try to justify this vice of mine by saying "watching real world san diego is therapeutic and keeps me from getting homesick!" i could say "punk'd is just like the classic tv gold that was candid camera, only funnier because the people are famous!" i could try to pass my viewing habits off as acceptable by claiming "there's nothing else on tv." or, use the old standby "i'm bored." but the sad truth of the matter is that i like the damn shows. laugh my ass off in fact. those shows are pure genius, pure genius i tell you!

*ahem*

i read too, you know. and not just the captions under the pictures in magazines. *g*
