update on ``charlie``: it looks like he might, maybe just maybe, stay in the family! my mom and her boyfriend jim both fell in love with the little guy when they met him tonight. now, we must wait to see if jim's mom (who is very elderly, somewhat stubborn, and living with him) agrees to having a doggie around. i'm crossing my fingers. because it's been at least a week since charlie has been lost, and rob and i have scoured the city three times over looking for lost dog posters, and posting posters ourselves. we've also done the whole animal shelter and pet store thing. still, nothing.

makes my blood boil, this throwaway society we live in. but aaaaaaah, i won't get in to that right now.

tuning my focus back to the good - mom offered to have charlie stay with her until he finds and new home, whether that be with jim, or someone else. which is SO awesome! not because we don't enjoy having him here, but because we can't let him have run of our house (due to uncertain vaccination history and madison's safety), so i don't think it's too much fun for him to spend half his day in a crate. as cozy as crate-life may be, staying with my mom means he gets a decent sized back yard (with lovely grass and sun and shade, too) all to himself. and he'll still get his walks in the evening and cheese snacks. plus he'll be getting lots of cuddles from my mom (she's not allergic to poodles), and tooooons of attention from jim. which makes me sooooo happy! because with seven dogs around, rob and i could only divide our attention so many ways. and lil charlie has been though so much lately, so i'm thrilled that he'll be the center of attention over at my moms place. yay! *smiles*

... probably the only doggie i know that can have orange-photo eyes and still look cute! *g*
