received 27 new e-mails from potential roommates today.

wow. whoa. zowie.

i really wasn't expecting that big of turnout. i mean, that's just one days worth! and i know everyone and their brother wants to live with me and all, but usually they're a little quieter and a lot shyer about it. *g* i kid.

but yeah. i'm really jazzed that i have so many wonderful people to choose from. and really, i've been encountering some kick ass folks out there. to be honest tho, i think the guy i met with today is a perfect fit. ... i'm still going to go ahead and show the room to the other people i've communicated with at this point. i never close the door, youknowwhai'msayin'. and i could be wrong. and perhaps mike is a really good actor and just pretended to laugh at my jokes and want to live here. but i think i'm right on the money with this one. and he's relaxed. and quiet. and altho he likes to have a good time and hang out with friends, he's past that whole ``party every friday thru monday and you don't even remember sunday`` phase. i mean, how perfect is that?! too cool.

i asked him to come back next sunday so rob and bill can meet him, and if that goes over well, and he hasn't found another place by then, and as long as i haven't fallen in love with any other wannabe roomie out there, then we'll seal the deal. *smiles*

and here i was thinkin' i was gunna be stressin'. ha. it's all good! *g* i don't particularly want to go thru this every other month, yunno, but at least i feel confident that i can handle something like this if it were to come up again. yay.

i've got a busy week ahead of me tho. on monday mom and i are going up to the school to pay for my registration so they don't drop me from my classes. and then tuesday i'm meeting with a dude named kevin about the room. and so it goes on wednesday, thursday, and friday with damon, john, karen, amanda, nick, val, joslin, stacey, wayne, kara, karina, and a guy who calls himself beezer. then on sunday alex and mike again. i'll make my decision on monday, and then go from there. ... i'm just really proud of myself for interviewing so many girls this time around.

and enough roommate stuff already, eh? *g*

a week or two back i finished the lemony snicket series. i simply can't wait for his next book to come out in october! *jumps around like a six year old on a sugar high* and then the latest by dean koontz is due out in december, yay! so as it stands now, this fall looks to be promising. *smiles* on the subject of books, i just finished two more koontz novels... i've got three more on my shelf to read, then i plan to reread 1984. from there i'm going to check out some books and authors that jenn has recommended to me, as well as any other books that you think i'd enjoy.

man. ... i'm kinda tired. i think this heat is making me sluggish. and the slower i move, the sleepier i get. damn this infernal heat! it's 82� as i sit here typing this now. bah. ... i'm going to go make snow cones. :o)
