yesterday was a bright, sunshiny day in the city of seattle. simply put, it was beautiful! *beams* i decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather by getting out of the house and soaking up some sunshine.

i walked around rather aimlessly for a bit, and then hopped on the bus and headed down to pioneer square with the hope of purchasing my 'dream' messenger bag. (a few weeks ago i came across said bag while searching the net and was absolutely giddy to learn that the company is based out of port angles, with a store in seattle!)

so, that's the longest bus ride i've taken in seattle to date. and it was a blast! i love riding the bus. my poor car - it just sits there now, collecting dust. *g*

it was also my first visit to pioneer square. now can i be honest here? maybe it was the day, maybe it was the warm weather... but man! there are a lot of stinky people in and around pioneer square. it almost seemed like the smellier the nicer though, so it was all good. *smiles*

so i located the tom bihn store and purchased the following fabulous bags:

cafe small

cafe small

cafe medium

and cafe medium

i was going to go all crazy and get a large too, but i figured i'd be a good girl and save up for it instead. it'll give me something to look forward to that way.

dude, these bags? they rock. i suggest you get one. even if you don't really think you need one, get one; it's a good thing to have around. so handy and practical and damn cute too. hee!

okay, so, after buying the bags (thankfully the small one fit nicely into the medium one so i was able to avoid looking like a complete tool walking around with two empty bags), i decided to play tourist and go in search of the famed pioneer square totem pole. frankly, i thought my search would take me through the area and back again and i'd get to discover all sorts of cool little tucked away places... buuuut, the totem pole was literally right around the corner from where i was, so yeah. true to my tourist intentions, i took tons of pictures.

i did a little more walking around and then i realized that my bus was coming, and i was getting hungry too, so i decided to call it a day and head home.

i did manage to pick up some info on the underground tour so that i can head back there later and do that too. i also plan to check out an observation deck i've heard good things about.

so yeah, i had a nice little outing, and it's definitely a place i'll be checking out some more. and even though i've heard that it's a total meat market (which isn't my thing at all), i think i might check out the square at night too, just to see what all the fuss is about. chances are i'll be unimpressed with night time version of pioneer square, but i won't know for sure till i try it. yeah. *smiles*

today i went to discovery park with my orange sweaterd friend, who was actually wearing a blue shirt. but orange sweaterd friend has a special ring to it, no? even though i made up the word sweaterd. hee. discovery park details (and hopefully pictures!) later.

any thoughts? (0)
