so the job. the job was cool, and the job sucked... all rolled into one little christmas package. ;op'' the job was cool because the boss was awesome. the job was cool because the people i worked with were great. the job sucked because, well, because 12 hour days suck and that's a fact. the job sucked because i feel almost as if i 'missed' christmas. and the job sucked because it was very manual labor. and while there's nothing wrong with that on it's own, it kicked my ass. big time. so yeah. oh, wait... another plus for the job... the paycheck. i guess 12 hour days are kind of cool afterall. ;op''

the job is over now, and a new job search will begin shortly. joy! or not. i suppose it's not that bad... but i want to be a barista, and i'm learning that being a barista is quite the deal up here in the northwest. you need experience, and you need to be hot stuff. i have no experience and i'm mild at best. damn. but i'll give it a shot anyway. i've got piercings and tattoos, so i can always apply at a bookstore if the coffee thing falls through. ;o)

in other news, it looks like i'll finally be going to the space needle tomorrow. woo!! this is a big deal for me you see, because when i got up here i couldn't believe the number of people who live here who haven't been and i vowed i would go before the end of the year. i mean, i understand it's mainly a tourist attraction (which is why i intended to go now, as opposed to three years from now when i'll have no excuse), but come on! it's still pretty cool lookin'. and really, it's the trademark of the city. it's like living in san diego and not going to the beach, and/or visiting tj. yeah. it's not like i'm going to go once a week or something. ;o) but i totally think every citizen of seattle should check it out, so at the very least you don't feel like a chump when your out-of-town relatives ask you about it.

aaaaaanywho. that's on the books for tomorrow. and i'm hoping to make it to pike's place market (to market, to market) to buy my mom something awesome that i saw there which i know she'll adore. yay. :o) tomorrow is a bunch of running around and i'm so going to stop at a new veg restaurant to check it out. i don't know which one yet, but on my list of 27 places to visit, i've only got 8 checked off. i've got some work to do! ;o) plus, i found out about another place just down the street that's not on my 'list,' and i'm anxious to try that too. have i mentioned how fantastic it is to have so many vegan and veggie places ten minutes from my door? super fantastic. :oD

speaking of which, i could use some lunch right about now. falafel and hummus sounds mighty good. yes'sir.
