the ticket said the concert started at noon. the sign at the entrance said there was no readmittance. the lady blocking access to the seats said the bands wouldn't be on the main stage until three.

what does all that mean? it means that my friend j and i were trapped in lollapalooza land for 12 hours. it was unexpected... sweaters were left in the car and tummies were not properly stuffed prior to the event... but man oh man did it turn out to be fun!

leave your sweater in the car? a little cold thanks to the breeze that was so welcome earlier in the day? no problem! just drink up that $13 margarita, sister, and you'll be fine in no time! *g*

due to the extreme heat from noon until about six, many people were drinking as much as possible. a mini bottle of water was $4. a big ole glass of beer was $8, a bottle of beer $6. yeeeeeah. good times, good times. hee hee.

j thinks i said it best when i compared lollapalooza to an amusement park... everything is insanely overpriced, there are toooons of people, you're there for at least half the day, and it's so much damn fun you'd do it again and again! *smiles*

so yeah... also met some new friends, and just had an amazing time. i'm still glowing... but uh, that could just be the sunburn. *l*
