so the job? love it! i have a boss who actually gives a damn about whether his employees are happy or not. yay! *smiles* it makes my transition to 'corporate whore' all the more bearable. *l*

school has been out for a week or so now, and that feels nice. it starts again the 30th, though. major suckage right there. especially since the course i need to take is math. i'm a 'banker' who doesn't like math, so sue me. ;op'' but, i gots to do what i gots to do to get where i need to go. ah, the sacrifices.

rob also got a new job! (not sure if i mentioned it already or not, as i haven't been so steady in my journal updating as of late.) but yeah, he's now employed at a new place and starts sometime soon. yay rob! his starting pay is nothing to laugh at, either. damn. dude is going to be making some serious cash. i'm jealous in a good way. *g*

haven't seen much of coastie 'round the house. i've worked nearly 40 hours this week, so when i am home and awake, i've spent as much of that time as possible with rob and my 'kids.' awww. *smiles* i did get the lease from new roomie josh though. deposit coming shortly, and then it's a done deal. stoner boy left the room in a state of emergency though. so, among other things it needs a new coat of paint. which i'm going to try to get done before school starts. i think i can manage. i need to paint the kitchen and dining room too. well, i don't need to paint those two rooms, but i want to. they have so much potential. and so yeah, i think maybe the week after this coming one, i'll throw a little painting party and see what i can get done.

in other news, maddie has hit a growth spurt again. i think she's something like three inches taller than me when she stands on her hind legs to give me a hug. it's pretty insane. she's such a sweetheart though. chocolate has been really hyper lately, and karmel even more mellow than usual. i'm not sure why, but it doesn't seem to be a bad development. buster is... well, buster. twinkie though, we have a hard time getting her to leave her bed some days. she's also developed this weird breathing/snorting thing, which the vet can't find the source of. it doesn't seem to matter to her... i'm just a worrywart i think. she is eight years old though... and has had a rough life... so... i dunno. if she stops being protective of her froggie toy, then i'll unpack the panic machine. *raspberry*

anywho... the skies have purged themselves of the gray that has been hanging around all week, and you couldn't ask for a better saturday. that being said, i think i'll fix myself a nice big fruit platter and then step outside to enjoy the day. ta.

any thoughts? (1)
