oh my... where to begin?

let's see... went to the earth day fair and i must say i was rather disappointed by the lack of awareness. if you stop to consider that factory farming is responsible for so much harm to our environment, then it was beyond the beyond of sad to see burger stands around every corner. *sigh*

however! rob and i did have a wonderful time, as we brought along madison and she was quite the center of attraction! we received compliment after compliment, and she was eating up all of the attention. so the day was a good one. *smiles*

then, may 1st was maddie's 1st birthday! yay! i whipped up some homemade dog bones, made the dogs don party hats, handed out presents, and proceeded to take picture after adorable picture! (i'll post a couple tomorrow probably.)

the reason for my absence can be blamed on my computer. it had a nervous break down of some sort, working one minute, spazing out on me the next. everything -seems- to be running smoothly now. *knock on wood* my portfolio for creative writing is due tuesday... so between now and then i need to write a second fiction story, a third poem, and two literary critiques. the joy. i'm actually surprised though, at the response i received from my first fiction story... everyone loved it! the professor even made copies for others in her department to read, which is all but unheard of. but now i feel a ton of pressure for the second work of fiction... ah! hopefully i'll be able to pull it off. *smiles*

(hey, if I can pull off the 24 page report that i had for anthro last week, i can surely write a small story! right? right!)

i honestly haven't been up to much aside from studying... the are three weeks of school left, and of course this is when all of the huge assignments are due, and when all of the professors are throwing new, super important assignments at you left and right. why they all team up on the students, i don't know. it's evil, pure evil. i mean, no wonder everyone has to cram for finals... you don't have time to study for them until the night before! goodness.

oh! my room is sparkling and fresh and sooooooooo super clean it's scary. the whole house is, in fact. it's nice in that you can walk barefoot everywhere and roll around on the ground kind of way. heh... just thought i'd share. *g*

and gosh, i know i had a billion other things to say, but my mind is overflowing with info and thoughts of the papers that need to be written... so maybe next time.

any thoughts? (1)
