on my way home today i saw some asshole kid open up a gate to a fenced yard. i then saw him laugh as the two dogs that had been inside ran out into the busy street.

i pulled over, got out flares and some doggie treats, and spent the next fifteen minutes avoiding cars and rounding up the two dogs.

it was a bit of a challenge, as the dogs weren't what i'd consider stranger-friendly. they warmed up to me, though. *g*

anywho, i was able to get them back in their yard and close the gate. i left a note in the mailbox that detailed what had happened. i considered leaving my name and phone number, but instead simply signed the note `an animal-loving passerby.`

sometimes the best reward for a good deed is simply knowing that you've done it.
