while rob and i are at school during the day, we keep the dogs, including maddie, confined to the back two rooms of the house (where the least bit of damage can be done if it comes down to that! *g*).

anyway, maddie has been doing great with this setup, and then yesterday we came home to find shredded magazine paper EVERYWHERE! seems she was bitten by the bug of curiosity and not only learned to open a closet door, but dragged out all of the dog-related magazines that were inside. (which was peculiar in itself, since that closet is the ``dog closet,`` and is chalk full of toys and treats, which remained untouched!!)

so we come home, see bits and pieces of dog magazines scattered everywhere... and karmel and chocolate off to the side, very much trying to convey ``i didn't do it!``... and in the middle of it all was maddie, lying down with the only magazine that hadn't been ripped to shreds. and as it just so happens, that particular magazine was a recently ordered back issue of dog fancy - the one featuring great danes!

i think she may be trying to tell us something! ;o)
