i got a raise today. woo! i'm still not exactly sure why, but i'm not complaining. *smiles*

i'm kind of excited, because the raise came on a really good day - chinese new year - so this is hopefully a good indicator of the fortune to come my way. *more smiles* and for the few inquiring minds who e-mailed asking why i have such an interest in chinese new year, it's because i am a little chinese. when i say little, i do mean little (my ancestory stems from my great-great grandparents or some such)... but hey, every little bit counts! *winks* and rob is a little chinese too... which we both find hysterical in that classic cheesy couple way.

but aaaaanyway. i'm still looking for a roomie. we found a guy, jared, that we all liked well enough and who was in love with us, but i'm getting the impression that it would be difficult for him to pay the full amount of rent on time, sooooo i'm thinkin' he's probably not going to work out. the good news is, i don't need to find someone until march, so i'm not stressin'. *smiles*

and in news so off topic i should have started a new entry or at the very least separated this with a line or something, i recently ordered three scarfs for madison from a san diego based company called ruff life: one for valentine's day, one for st. patty's day, and one for earth day. they came in the mail today, and they're so beautiful! i can't get over how awesome they are! and it just gets better - the wonderful lady who runs the company, erin, included a bright red scarf with madison's name engraved on it! i couldn't believe it. it's like, wow... this business sure knows how to treat it's customers! i'm absolutely giddy. *smiles* if you have a canine companion, or even a kitty who doesn't mind wearing scarfs, i highly suggest checking this place out. the craftsmanship is fabulous, and the prices can't be beat. *smiles* in fact, i'm off to order a few more right now. they have this great new flag pattern, and a really cute southwestern one too...

and uh, i'll stop pimpin' the company now. *l* one last thing though - the reason all these scarfs are for maddie and maddie alone, is because my other babies refuse to wear them. buster loves sweaters, but not scarfs, and as for the other three - heck, i'm lucky they tolerate their collars! *g*

so yeah, i think i'm gunna skidattle now. need to pick up rob soon. we're having a vegan spaghetti feast tonight. woo! *smiles*
