if it isn't one thing, it's another.

but i'm not going to get into that right now. not yet.

... on a somewhat humorous note, everyone thinks that rob and i are married. well, not everyone, obviously, but a good many people do. take my vet for example. she knows me, knows where i work, and knows the name and age of all of my dogs without checking... yet she always calls rob my husband. i've told her a billion times that he isn't, and she just goes, ``oh, that's right. might as well be tho!`` *g* people at the grocery store... ``thank you, mr. and mrs. ------, have a nice day!`` it's the same wherever we go. the people at sears are especially bad about it... every two seconds it's ``can i help you and your wife find anything today?`` just because we shop for appliances together doesn't mean we're married. geesh. *g*

don't get me wrong, it doesn't bother me one bit. i could really care less one way or the other, and rob and i have both given up reminding people of our non-marital status. it's no big deal. i just find it really funny that SO many people assume we're hitched. we don't wear any rings, and we have different last names. yet the bank insists on calling me mrs. his-last-name. i just don't get it.

all i know is, it seems to be a compliment, because most people peg us for newlyweds, and newlyweds are notoriously happy. so, at least we're not being accused of being a grumpy unhappy married couple.

and yeah.

wow... that was pointless. *raspberry*
