had my first ``class`` today. and i rawk, baby! oooooh yeah! *g*

i was nervous as hell getting up there in front of the THIRTY + people that attended, about to embark on the how-tos of potty training.

but it was smooth sailing. i made people laugh. a lot. i never knew i could be so funny.

and everyone had great questions, and they were all really eager to learn, and that made me excited, and it was all so fun!

five or more people signed up for actual classes, which is amazing! and i had a FABULOUS conversation with a family after the seminar, learned all about their three dogs, and they liked my style so much, they're going to wait until i'm done with my accreditation to take my class.

what a HUGE compliment!

so, i'm a bit stoked right now. i honestly didn't think i'd do that good... but the feedback was awesome, and i'm just so pumped that everyone was as responsive as they were. wow!

gen was originally supposed to do it with me, but she's been a bit grumpy lately and didn't feel like it anymore. so, okay. the other person i'm training with, darren, is super spiffy, and he did a little bit of talking too, and we had amazing chemistry! kick ass. ... hey, has anyone out there ever watched that show on animal planet called `moorepark 24/7`?

anywho.

my day off is tomorrow, and i plan on taking care of all of my homework, so after work sunday i can come home and relax. i'm all about getting it out of the way baby. at least, right now i am. usually i wait till the last minute cause i've conditioned myself to work well under pressure. but aaaaaanyway.

i never realized how much work goes into training. it's not just `sit` and `stay` and all that. no no no. you want you dog to bring you a tissue when you sneeze? a clean, dry one, at that? it's easy to do, you just have to grasp how. grasping how is the hard part. once you've got that down, it's all cake from there. my boss' dog, dave, is amazing. he walks her other dogs and picks up anything you drop and gives it back to you. and so much more. he's like one of those super dogs you see on tv. in fact, he's been on tv tons of times. and yeah. understanding all that is dog is insane. the information is endless. i don't know how i'm going to remember this all, but i'd better. our next test is tuesday, and we can only miss 2 out of 74 questions. ah! but i think i'll do okay! (i aced the potty training one i took today!) i'm going to study my ass off tho, and hopefully that will pay off. *smiles*

in other news, madison is afraid of the rain. it's been raining here today, off and on. and rob and i have learned that our little maddie doesn't dig the big drops falling from the sky. i tried to give her a sweater in case it was a matter of the rain getting her wet, but that wasn't good enough. so there i was, on our front lawn, doing some sort of mutated rain dance - for a good ten minutes. my luck, and one of my neighbors will catch me on videotape and i'll get to bare witness to making an ass of myself on some animal tv show a few months down the road.

all that, and i couldn't get her to do her thing. *sigh* my potty training lessons said nothing about what to do in the rain. oy.

but it's no biggie, we'll work something else out. i'm not sweatin' it.

and oh, i now have a pet rat. kinda. her name is betty, and she's not really mine, but i'm her trainer right now, so i get to be responsible for her for a while. which i think is pretty cool. she's super nice and loves shoulder rides. yay!

and i really need to take a shower, so perhaps more later....
