i love my job.

it's too awesome. all day long i just milled around, observing. i played with a litter of puppies that were up for adoption, and sat around chatting with everyone and their cousin waiting for paperwork to be presented to me so i could fill it out.

and i got paid for all of it.

i was even able to drive home on my lunch break to surprise rob and bring him some food. man, how cool is that! *smiles*

all of the people i met are super nice and friendly, and i don't feel like ``the freak who has five dogs`` anymore, because everyone there had at least two, and many had four. the head trainer has six. i'm finally amongst my people!! woooooo! *g*

tomorrow my mission for the first half of the day is to walk around some more, check stuff out, and handle a bunch of animals.

and oh yeah, i was assigned a rat today (one of two that the lead trainer keeps aside, for reasons i don't yet know). she needs to be trained and i got voted the best for the job i guess, so cool beans. no one was able to tell me her name, but i'm making it a point to find out tomorrow.

and back to tomorrow. the second half of tomorrow will be devoted to studying for and passing the first part of the ``training me to train dogs`` procedure - potty training puppies. it's my understanding that it's just a bunch of question-answer and scenario stuff, so it should be a synch.

after i pass that, i get to teach my first ``class``. from there, i move on to accreditation where the real training begins. after 120 hours of learning the ins and outs of training, i'll be all certified and ready to go. then i get to teach the fun classes, the real classes.

how i mentioned i love my job? *smiles*

so anyway. being out of work for what, a year or two? (i forget) and then going a full day on five hours of sleep is enough to wear a girl out. i've got another eight hour day tomorrow, so i needs mah sleep, yaknowhaimsayin.

one more thing tho... my friend dwan (who i used to work with back in the day, and who used to live here in sd but just recently moved to colorado) is staying here tonight. she and her brother eric drive down today, so they're crashed out now. and i actually do have a point. and that would be that dwan is one of the funniest people in the entire world, and she makes me choke on laughter. she's so honest and blunt. and it's rather shocking most of the time, but i love her for it. it's nice to have her here and i just wanted to say that now, so that i can babble about her later without some huge explanation. and yeah.

... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
